Macon County Schools is now accepting lunch applications and meal payments.
If your student attends Cartoogechaye Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Iotla Valley Elementary, Macon Early College, Macon Middle, Mountain View Intermediate, Nantahala, South Macon, or Union, they will receive meals at no cost as a part of the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2023-2024 school year. We do still encourage meal applications to help your child/children with other eligibilities and to help support the school district.
Macon County Schools is utilizing a new system and parent portal where you can submit meal applications and pay meal fees. Macon County Schools is no longer using lunchapplication.com or K12 Payment Center, and you are now unable to make payments with your old account.
To continue making meal payments, please create a new account at https://www.linqconnect.com
You may also submit meal applications through LINQ Connect for the current school year.

Nantahala School is hosting its inaugural Fall American Red Cross Blood Drive. The date is Friday, October 6. The donation times are 10:30 to 3:30. The location is the Nantahala Gym. Here is the link to access the sign-up page at the American Red Cross Web Site.

And, if you follow her on Social Media, you know that she has culinary skills! The camp is for rising Sixth - Twelfth-grade students. The dates are July 24 - 27. Hawknation! Report Cards were distributed today, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, for the Third Grading Period. For High School students, it is the First Grading Period of the Second Semester. If you have any questions about your student (s) Report Card (s), please call the school and ask to speak with your student"s teacher.
Hawknation! This is a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, March 20th is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students. We will welcome students and Faculty back on Tuesday morning, March 21.

Hawknation! The Forecast for in the morning is a hodgepodge of potential safety issues. Nantahala School will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow morning, Monday, January 23rd, 2023. This will allow for the sun to come up and for us to evaluate the transportation routes. If there are no further announcements, then school will begin at 10:00.

Hawknation! The ballgames at Swain tonight have been postponed and rescheduled for January 30th.
Hawknation! The Transportation Team has been out on the roadways and bus routes this morning. Based on their findings, we will be having school today. The buses are currently out on their routes. We will be monitoring the weather throughout the day. If you live in a location where you cannot get down to the bus stop, please do not put yourself in any danger trying to get to school.
